Support for You & Your Family

For over 100 years, we’ve worked for the growth and flourishing of countless beautiful souls who’ve called Sixth Avenue home.

  • Children

Our worship service includes a time for the child in all of us, where children are invited to come forward and engage in a conversation tailored to their age. Then, we offer a Sunday school class for elementary and early-middle school aged children. In this group, children share the joys and sorrows of their weeks, learn Bible stories, and explore what it means to be Christian community.

For more information on any of these programs, please contact chris@sixthavenueucc.org.

  • Youth

We hold social events periodically for middle and high school youth and offer Confirmation classes every few years as needed. Many of our children and youth attend retreats and summer camps at La Foret Conference and Retreat Center in Black Forest, CO. These events are further opportunities to connect with other UCC youth and deepen their faith formation.

  • Music Arts

Music has always been a very integral part of worship at Sixth Avenue. Our organ is a two-manual, 10-rank Reuter Pipe Organ. It is the 342nd organ built by the Reuter Organ Company of Lawrence Kansas; it was installed in our church in 1929. There are only four older Reuter Pipe Organs in Colorado. The piano in our sanctuary is a 6 1/2-foot Baldwin Grand Piano.

Our music program is led by Kyle Bradley.

  • UCC Mental Health Network

W.I.S.E. is the United Church of Christ’s (UCC) designation for congregations, campus ministries, and other bodies that make a public covenant to people who live with mental health challenges that its faith community can be a safe spiritual home for them and their families.
